Description

To many employers, problematic drinking, and major depressive disorder (MDD) are very costly conditions and significantly impact the quality of life and morbidity and mortality of their employees.  This presentation will review an evidence-based model enabling an employer to quantify the economic, quality of life and morbidity and mortality impact of both MDD and problematic drinking on an employed population. The presentation will conclude by reviewing the benefits of offering evidence-based digital therapeutics (DTx) rooted in cognitive behavioral therapy as part of an employees benefit package.

Bill Barr is currently a principal at Acuitas Analytics, which builds reporting systems to assist pharmaceutical and biotechnology manufacturers in quantifying and capitalizing on the influence of reimbursement on product demand. He was previously a founding partner at Payer Sciences, LLC, an analytics firm that provides strategies around clients’ existing data resources to help gain insights into payer behaviors. Bill has a BA from Brown University and an MBA from New York University.
